How to View and Change the Hostname on Linux
Linuxcommands
The hostname command in Linux shows the local machine name. It can also be used to change the machine name if a new name is provided as an argument.
It supports the –fqdn (Fully Qualified Domain Name) option, which returns the system name plus the domain.
Example:
$ hostname
