Mastering groupdel: Remove User Groups in Linux
Linuxcommands
The groupdel command in Linux deletes a group from the system. It modifies the system account files, deleting all references to the group. The group to be deleted must exist.
You should manually check the file systems to ensure that none of the files remain with the group or with its identification.
